FinOps Operations Specialist – Swiss Post

As a FinOps Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting and executing cost optimization efforts under the direct supervision of the FinOps Lead. You will work closely with the DevOps teams to ensure that cost optimization strategies are technically feasible and successfully implemented. Furthermore, you will play a key role as a technical enabler for FinOps governance, tools, and automation. With you, we will ensure that Swiss Post applies leading FinOps best practices in multi-cloud environments.

  • In close collaboration with the DevOps teams, you will successfully implement technical optimizations such as rightsizing, auto-scaling, instance planning, and memory optimization.
  • You support the FinOps Lead in defining and implementing strategies for cost optimization in the cloud.
  • By developing monitoring and alarm solutions, you will help identify anomalies in cloud spending at an early stage.
  • You will provide targeted technical recommendations for cost-efficient architectures in order to effectively implement FinOps requirements.
  • You will automate and further develop key FinOps processes such as tagging compliance, anomaly detection, and cost forecasting.
  • You actively promote cross-departmental FinOps integration through collaboration with the IT Service Center, Finance IT, Architecture, Development Platform and Business IT teams.

This is what you bring with you

  • You have several years of experience in multi-cloud environments with AWS and Azure as well as deep expertise in cost optimization and automation.
  • Knowledge of cloud engineering, DevOps and FinOps is part of your everyday life – ideally you are a FinOps Certified Practitioner or even a professional.
  • You are well-versed in FinOps best practices and cloud pricing models.
  • Certifications as an AWS and Azure Solution Architect demonstrate your technical expertise.
  • You have solid expert knowledge of BI solutions such as Power BI and excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Your SQL knowledge and IaC (like Terraform) are strong.
  • You impress with a structured and proactive way of working, you bring complex topics to the point in an understandable way and you enjoy working in a team.
  • You have a good knowledge of German and are fluent in English.

We offer a fair salary, ranging from €114,000 to €129,000 per year (full-time), depending on your experience and skills. Applications from talented individuals with different skills are also welcome; in such cases, your salary may be slightly above or below the range.
