We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented FinOps Manager to lead and mature our AWS cloud financial operations across Betsson.
This role will own the governance, visibility, optimization, and financial accountability of our AWS environment. You will serve as the connective tissue between Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and Executive Leadership—ensuring cloud spend is transparent, predictable, and aligned to business value.
You will build the FinOps practice from a strategic level while driving hands-on cost optimization initiatives that directly impact company margins.
A taster of what you will be involved with
Cloud Financial Strategy & Governance
- Own AWS cost management strategy across the organization through alignment with stakeholders
- Establish and mature FinOps operating model and best practices
- Develop efficient policies for tagging, cost allocation, chargeback/showback
- Drive financial accountability across engineering teams
- Define cloud budgeting and forecasting processes
Cost Visibility & Reporting
- Build executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks
- Connect cloud spend to key business revenue metrics
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual cloud cost forecasting
- Translate technical usage into financial impact
- Deliver actionable insights to engineering leaders and key stakeholders
Optimization & Efficiency
- Identify and execute cost optimization initiatives (compute, storage, networking, licensing)
- Drive Reserved Instances / Savings Plans strategy
- Drive waste reduction with stakeholders (idle resources, overprovisioning, unused assets)
- Establish KPI tracking for unit economics and cost per product/service
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Finance for budgeting and accrual processes
- Work with Procurement on AWS contracts and negotiations
- Support Engineering and Architects with architectural cost guidance
- Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership
Tooling & Automation
- Own AWS cost management tools and third-party FinOps platforms
- Improve tagging compliance and cost allocation accuracy
- Implement automation to prevent cost overruns
- Evaluate new tools and solutions to optimize cloud financial governance
What we are looking for
- Vast experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or Cloud Infrastructure
- Deep expertise in AWS billing, cost structures, and pricing models
- Experience managing cloud spend in large-scale environments
- AI adoption growth experience would be a big plus
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills
- Proven ability to influence engineering leadership
- Experience working cross-functionally with Finance and Procurement
