As the FinOps Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing a team of FinOps Engineers, driving projects, and collaborating with clients to enhance their financial management in the cloud. You will leverage your expertise in AWS or Azure, along with cost visibility tools, to make a significant impact on our organization and our clients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of experience in cloud platforms to take on a customer-facing role.
Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of FinOps Engineers, fostering both professional and personal growth.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their financial&operatinal goals and provide expert guidance on cloud cost management.
- Data Analysis: Analyze billing data, understand cloud services, and identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of our FinOps processes, sharing insights and best practices with the team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with DevOps and Solution Architects to enhance customer solutions and drive innovation.
- Project Management: Manage various projects related to cloud costs within the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years as a Finops Engineer on AWS or Azure, with a strong understanding of cloud concepts and services.
- Cost Management Tools: Familiarity with cloud cost management vendors (such as CloudHealth, Anodot, and others).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: A strong technical background is a significant advantage (Python, AWS & Azure CLI) and familiarity with automation projects.
- Mindset: A proactive, can-do approach with a passion for driving FinOps processes and team improvements.
- KPI-Driven: Ability to manage and improve FinOps processes effectively, with a focus on achieving key performance indicators.
