Reporting to Finance Controller – Cloud Billing Location Ahmedabad , Mumbai

 

Job Objective
  • To transform the way of Cloud  purchase, management , and optimization of  IT services.
  • To engage with  Enterprise IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement best practices for adoption and cost savings This will include generating and providing recommendations on how Business units  can optimize their usage of GCP, services not considered, working to reengineer internal people and processes, and working with partners to ensure ongoing optimization.
  • To be subject matter expert in all cost and commercial related aspects of the cloud life cycle And Provide Business Units with cost related insights, metrics, and KPIs
  • To define and maintain the Cloud Financial Model to be adhered by respective Business Units . This role is accountable to ensure adherence and governance to the Cloud Finance Model Architecture and Process

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Understand the group’s long-term business strategies and goals, define the strategic objectives, roadmap, and goals for the IT Cloud Cost and operational effectiveness in line with overall Group IT Cloud strategy
  • Understand and engage with stakeholders to transform the way cloud resources are purchased, managed and optimized
  • Architect and develop processes, purchasing strategies, and cross-functional collaboration to embrace technologies at scale and to ensure long-term sustenance. in relation to the Adani’s group Cloud strategy where appropriate
  • Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, and budgeting best practices and Publish policies for Cloud Financials related to budgeting, authorization, provisioning, forecasting, utilisation and billing .
  • Participate in industry forums to interact with different Cloud solution providers and evaluate new and potential technologies for financial processes, costing and  optimization

Operational Responsibilities

  • Manage and track Cloud Billing and distribution to the respective units
  • Budget and control the spend on the Google Billing
  • On time delivery all financial reports related to Cloud
  • Ensure tracking of provisioning of all cloud resources, projected cost and track spending
  • Coordinate between a multitude of cross functional teams and set clear expectations about responsibilities for internal and external customers
  • Empower business units for cloud adoption journey, helping them:
    • Adhere to the defined cloud financial models and architecture
    • Implement necessary security controls related to billing Cloud Security, and Identity and Access Management
  • Support governance processes and serve as CoE interface to Bus
  • To ensure all the spend is optimized and adopt technologies to bring in cost efficiency

Risk Management

  • Lead and conduct risk assessments and identify and assess potential vulnerabilities in Group’s cloud spend
  • Oversee deployment of strategic interventions to mitigate risks on Cloud spend
  • Build cloud reporting dashboards at the group level for capturing status of different systems related to cloud financials
  • Review cloud financial status  through periodic meetings with CIOs to understand issues and provide resolution for the same

Cloud  Audit

  • Establish audit protocols, frequency, and define audit calendar and enlist pre-requisites in accordance with the Group IT audit framework
  • Define and measure security compliance metrics, facilitate and track compliance activities and management action plans
  • Empanel audit agencies for group/ BU/ site audit and ensure audits are conducted as defined while interfacing with auditors for critical checks
  • Monitor the audit findings at the Group IT, Group Information Security and business level and report any deviations from the policy

Stakeholder Management

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with all the BUs and engage with Architects, Engineering, and C-level, identify stakeholder priorities, and design security strategies that deliver business value
  • Ensure robust decision making with collaborative inputs, resolve conflicts and ensuring follow through on cross functional projects
  • Consult and collaborate with stakeholders to develop relevant, timely policy and support materials for all business units

People Management

  • Drive a performance driven culture – set goals, review performance, and provide feedback to ensure a motivated and committed team
  • Develop employee capability and build functional excellence through various learning and development interventions and mentoring initiatives
  • Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within the team and across teams

 

Job Profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ Years of experience working with cloud spend management, this will imply hands on experience with cost management tools, services, features and data analysis.
  • 7+ years of business development and IT management or IT Finance experience.
  • Must possess demonstrated analytical skills and thrive in a detail-oriented environment
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Some understanding of analytics and data warehouse required
  • Entrepreneurial and self-sufficient: work with little oversight delivering high-quality results and driving own agenda
  • Effective problem-solving and mediation skills
  • Strong planning, project management and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focused, result oriented with high level of integrity
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Using Basic Office software
  • Technical understanding of Cloud Computing concepts in general and/or GCP specific technologies, platforms and solutions
  • Clear track record of managing complex projects and programs while demonstrating exceptional business judgement.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ Years of experience management consulting, IT transformation consulting, product management, program management and/or business process design experience highly desired
  • Experience in ISV or management consulting highly desire
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, a proven ability to influence others, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership, leading data driven analyses, and influencing results
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization, and to create a vision and organization that can scale quickly
    MBA or equivalent relevant business experience
    Strong English written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting
