As a manager within the ITCo & Global Programs department you are responsible to manage the IT Economics of the Group IT Portfolio and report to the Head of Group IT Portfolio Management. In your role you actively drive the alignment and consistency of the group’s IT Project Portfolio with the defined Operations & IT strategy with focus on IT Economics as well as with overall IT budget targets. In the team you are particularly responsible for the monthly IT portfolio reporting cycle, covering financials, scope status, quality as well as coherence with the benefits tracking.

In this role you will:
- Manage all activities needed to execute the Group IT Project Portfolio management process and corresponding benefits
- Close financial steering and tracking of the Group IT Project Portfolio
- Continuously improve existing Group IT Project Portfolio management processes (e.g., definitions and guidelines, data provisioning, data quality review), financial and management reporting
- Create and execute required training and information materials for the Operating Entities to support them in the Group IT Project Portfolio Steering process
- Actively ensure that critical topics are identified and analysed (identify issues, analyse their root causes and their impact, e.g., on financials, timeline, scope), recommend and push G6 for appropriate measures to get activities back-on track
- Monitor the Group IT Project Portfolio and projects and support Operating Entities managers to perform program-/project reviews of our largest IT programs including all relevant aspects of the value or delivery chain
- Manage an effective and efficient collaboration between Operating Entities (or regions), Allianz SE and its shared services provider AZ Technology
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Exceptional academic background in Economics, Business Administration, or IT (diploma or master’s degree)
- Knowledge and experience in one of the main project management frameworks ideally with a certification (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, and/or SAFe)
- Excellent MS-Office skills in particular MS Excel and MS Power Point
- Experience with SAP Integrated Planning preferred
- VBA and Power BI skills a plus
- Very good English skills (written and spoken), additional languages a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- More than 5 years work experience in Operations and IT in the financial industry or IT consulting
- Deep Finance and Controlling knowledge required- Excellent understanding of financial and operational steering, benefits reporting and their impacts
- Good understanding of the insurance industry and experience in international project management (waterfall as well as agile set-up) within large and complex IT projects (system implementation/ integration programs, IT transformation)
- Good understanding of Operations and IT and their interrelation with business
- Very good knowledge regarding IT project portfolio management solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial topics for a non-finance audience
- Highly self-driven and proactive mindset
- Business maturity and ability to interact effectively with C-Level (e.g. COO, CIO, CTO) and other senior stakeholders
- Strong sense of cooperation and ability to work toward team success
- Willingness to continuously learn and curiosity
- Willingness to challenge oneself and counterparties to strive for continuous improvement
