IT Economics Specialist (m/f/d)

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Technical Director IT Productivity & Steering, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and controlling overall IT spend and costs in Change and Run
  • Preparing IT budgets
  • Forecasting IT costs
  • Financial steering of the service provider with a focus on cost optimization
  • Contributing to financial reporting and IT group reporting

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Oversee, review, and analyze overall IT costs against budget, plans, and forecasts; identify and clarify deviations with service owners; support corrective measures.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly forecasting process for IT costs.
  • Prepare the yearly IT budget in cooperation with AGCS Retained IT, Finance, and Allianz Technology’s Account and Service Management.
  • Financially steer service providers; review and reconcile booked charges with AGCS Retained IT functions.
  • Produce comprehensive financial reports on IT costs and KPIs; work with Financial Controlling for quarterly and monthly reporting.
  • Drive IT cost optimization from identification through planning, implementation, and tracking. Contribute to and review project business cases, track project business cases.
  • Continuously improve planning, controlling, and forecasting processes with stakeholders to increase transparency, efficiency, and reduce costs.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Extensive experience in IT controlling, preferably in a financial service company.
  • Project Management and/or Line Management of medium to high complexity within IT.
  • IT-related finance and accounting skills, including IT controlling and performance measurement.
  • Experience in benefit calculation would be a plus
  • Expertise in IT cost optimization planning, implementation, and tracking.
  • Strong communication skills, from working level to C-level, and ability to build productive working relationships across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills, self-organization, initiative, energy, and a call to action.
