Manager Finance IS | Cloud Financial Operations | FinOps

The Manager Finance, Information Solutions (IS) is responsible for optimizing cloud services and spending at AmeriHealth Caritas. This manager will engage with IS teams (including IS Infrastructure and IS Enterprise Data Office) and Finance to implement best practices for cloud cost management.

• Serve as the subject matter expert on all cost related aspects of the cloud life cycle and provide insights into and metrics/KPIs on cloud costs.
• Define and maintain the Cloud Financial Model to be adhered by respective Business Units . This role is accountable to ensure adherence and governance to the Cloud Finance Model Architecture and Process.

Responsibilities/Experience

• Broad-based cloud experience with specialization in Cloud FinOps.
• Understand customer challenges around cloud cost management, collect and analyze data to provide Cloud financial insights critical to success in cloud operations.
• Understand cloud economics and provide insights/ recommendations for cost management and optimization.
• Analyze and forecast cloud hosting costs.
• Work effectively with customer cross-functional teams, assimilating requirements for cloud cost management and driving results in form of data insights, frameworks, and automation recommendations.
• Provide Cloud Cost Optimization advisory services including framework, guidelines & improvement opportunities.
• Partner with IS team to define tagging framework, requirements, and guidelines.
• Knowledge of financial principles and business analytics.
• Prepare monthly financial and management reporting.
• Manage the cloud financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting tool (CloudBolt).
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and cost treatment.
• Establish cloud business management framework.
• Support IT cost optimization initiatives to deliver operational efficiencies.
• Develop a forecast models for cloud services.

Qualifications / Education

• Two (2)+ years of experience working with cloud spend management, this will imply hands on experience with cost management tools, services, features and data analysis.
• Seven (7)+ years of IT Finance experience.
• Must possess demonstrated analytical skills and thrive in a detail-oriented environment.
• Team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Effective problem-solving and mediation skills.
• Strong planning, project management and problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
