FinOps Engineer

We are looking for a proactive, creative, and reliable FinOps engineer to join our team. We are seeking someone with a proven track record, adaptability, and a passion for their work.

As a FinOps engineer, you will manage all aspects of Cloud/SaaS costs and cost optimization, solving complex business problems using business processes and cloud computing technologies.

You will collaborate closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and cloud teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate in the development of new tools and strategies for an innovative, evolving Cost Optimization service.
• Maintain and update reports and KPIs that deliver comprehensive and detailed statistics on resource consumption and usage patterns.
• Monitor cloud consumption to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies.
• Stay connected with new cloud capabilities and features, which impact service consumption.
• Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend, based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast.
• End to end management of cloud and SaaS based solutions budgeting.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management.
• Comprehensive understanding of AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms, including their pricing models, services, and governance.
• Strong understanding of SaaS based solutions licensing and cloud technologies.
• Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills
• Degree in General Business, or Information Technology – advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
