Senior Cloud FinOps Analyst

Our FinOps Practice is growing, and we want you!
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior FinOps Engineer who will deliver exceptional results for our Federal Government Client. You will be coming in to help establish a FinOps practice, focusing on automating and optimising the platform’s costs and reporting.
This platform is fully cloud, mostly based on AWS, so a strong affinity to cloud native platforms is highly regarded (as is Australian Citizenship).

What will I be doing?

    • Establish governance for cross-functional teams and set standards for managing cloud spend.
    • Build tools to analyse our costs and generate reports with meaningful information for different stakeholders, including Engineering, Finance and C-level.
    • Develop a key of business-value and KPI to measure success in cost and business needs.
    • Identify cost optimisation drivers and iterate on a continuous process to provide a consistent methodology to manage cloud consumption in a most cost-effective manner.
    • Plan and forecast on cloud resources by aligning with the stakeholders across the wider team.
    • Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups, understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best possible techniques and tools.

What do you bring?

    • A great understanding of cloud computing resources (AWS)
    • Experience in cost-controlling and data analysis.
    • Basic knowledge of programming tools like Python and Pandas.
    • Proficient on Excel-like tools with large datasets.
    • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
