Cloud FinOps Analyst

We are looking for Cloud FinOps Analyst who will join our Customer’s team!

Responsibilities:

• Define, drive, track and report on identified structural cloud optimisation tactics and associated targets, with the objective to reducing cost
• Produce optimisation recommendation reports and present findings at working group meetings
• Develop support tools and teaching aids to help value streams, platforms and the business, where appropriate, to understand their cloud spend patterns and areas for potential optimisation
• Coordinate with platform engineers, value streams, and business stakeholders to develop architectural approaches for optimized consumption of cloud services
• Prepare and present monthly KPI and financial updates
• Accurately forecast cloud spending at a granular level and track performance against budget
• Build and own financial/forecasting cost models to evaluate investment decisions
• Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigour in measuring and monitoring the business

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology Management
• Minimum 3 years of experience in similar role
• Understanding of the core Finance & Accounting principles, basic understanding of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes
• Experience and deep understanding of the Google Cloud Platform
• Experience in cost optimisation and saving implementations on cloud projects
• Experience with BigQuery & Looker Studio and other similar database/visualization tools
• High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluent English skills
