Senior Cloud Financial Management Specialist, SCE 1.2 B

As a Cloud Financial Management Specialist, you will have the opportunity to engage with some of the largest customers in the world to help transform the way they purchase, manage, and optimize IT services. You will engage with customers’ Enterprise IT, Operations, and Finance teams to implement best practices for adoption and cost savings. This will include generating and providing recommendations on how customers can optimize their usage of AWS, services not considered, working to reengineer customer processes, and sharing best practice governance models. You will be experienced at working with large data sets, have a familiarity of IT transformation within large organizations, and working directly within the executive suite.

Key job responsibilities

Become the subject matter expert in all cost and commercial related aspects of the customer life-cycle

  • Provide customers with cost related insights, metrics, and KPIs
  • Engage with customers’ Finance, IT and Operations Leadership to implement best practices for financial governance and management of cloud spend
  • Assess reporting and analytic needs of customers and identifying solution and approach to meet those needs.
  • Communicate, establish, and measure KPIs to track progress and success of transformation and optimization within customer organizations
  • Manage numerous complex engagement requests concurrently, and partner with account teams to drive strategic improvements in customer financial governance capabilities
  • Understand and communicate billing, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management best practices

Basic Qualifications

  • – 8+ years of business development, IT management or IT Finance experience.
  • – 2+ Years of experience working with cloud cost management.
  • – Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • – Hands on experience managing AWS Costs highly desired.
  • – MBA or equivalent relevant business experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
