The Role
Kyndryl is seeking an experienced AWS Technical Consulting Leader to drive the design, strategy, and execution of transformative cloud solutions across our clients’ ecosystems. This leader will have expertise in cloud operating models, FinOps, VMware and application modernization, AWS landing zone design, and cloud migrations. As a key technical advisor and strategist, you will lead client engagements, aligning cloud solutions with business objectives, ensuring financial efficiency, and fostering organizational change to fully leverage AWS capabilities.
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive cloud strategies, from initial design to full-scale implementation, ensuring alignment with clients’ business and technical requirements. You will design and implement cloud operating models that address governance, security, organizational alignment, and cross-functional collaboration, enabling clients to maximize cloud adoption and operational efficiency. Additionally, you will develop and promote FinOps best practices to ensure financial accountability and optimize cloud spend, helping clients understand and control their AWS usage and costs.
You will oversee the modernization of on-premises VMware environments, including migration to AWS and re-platforming/refactoring applications to embrace cloud-native architectures. You will also architect and implement secure, scalable AWS landing zones using AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, and best practices for multi-account management. Managing end-to-end cloud migration projects, including assessment, strategy, and execution for seamless transition to AWS, will be a key part of your responsibilities, addressing technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
As the primary technical contact for clients, you will foster trust and provide strategic guidance throughout the transformation process. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives, define scope, and deliver value-driven solutions. Additionally, you will assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including defining the scope of work (SOW), preparing proposals, and conducting solution demonstrations. Ensuring that all solutions adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory standards, identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with cloud adoption, will be crucial.
Finally, you will create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, operational guidelines, and best practice resources. Conducting workshops and training sessions to build cloud knowledge across the client’s organization will also be part of your role.
