As a FinOps Analyst ( specialised on AZURE or AWS ) in the Cloud Business Unit, you will focus on various activities with the following main responsibilities :
- Participate in implementing AXA FinOps strategy to ensure AXA is optimizing its Cloud spend and has full transparency of all its Cloud costs
- Contribute to the AXA Group FinOps community to ensure the community is actively sharing ideas and learnings
- Closely monitor spend as a daily activity to include implementing and monitoring Budget Alerts, Anomaly Detector and other tools. Also implementing processes to manage alerts as they occur
- Identifying opportunities and best practices for saving and governing this across the AXA Group including: Reviewing Advisors recommendations, Analyzing cloud spend to identify savings, Identifying underutilized resources & zombie resources, Any other savings opportunities, e.g. autoscaling, rightsizing, start and stop, deletion and recreation
- Govern and follow up with Entities to drive the implementation of the recommendations
- Maintain relationships with cloud service providers to ensure AXA is taking advantage of the best FinOps opportunities
- Maintain a good understanding of the cloud provider pricing models and implement guidelines, processes and governance to manage cloud costs and identify and achieve cost reduction where appropriate. Also ensure control over service credits and their usage
- Work with the AXA Cloud Product Heads to encourage FinOps best practices into their price cards, also to sometimes act as a liaison between the Product Teams and Entity FinOps teams
- Consult with Architecture practices to develop DevSecFinOps principles, best practices and Design to Costs
- Define a framework for refactoring application design (Re-architect to PaaS services, Azure or AWS Functions) and code (modernizing language & programming)
Your profile :
- Minimum 2 years of experience as FinOps Analyst on Azure or AWS Cloud
- Knowledge in Cloud Engineering (Cloud Architecture, Cloud Security, Cloud Systems & Software & Cloud Network)
- Ability to influence topics and people to achieve results
- Proven ability in conducting and presenting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of presenting to senior management
- Deep experience of Microsoft Office Suite required (extensive knowledge of Excel required)
- Excellent cross group collaboration skills.
- A degree in computer science, Financials, or equivalent professional experience
