About the job

As a Technology FinOps Manager you will oversee the creation and maintenance of processes to manage vendor contracts and service portfolio expenditure, including SaaS-based applications and cloud environments.

As our technology strategy evolves, we continue to design solutions to meet the demands of the business with our on-premise, SaaS-based and cloud based solutions. We have recognised the need for a new role to support our teams with product selection, commercial negotiation, contract and service usage management process, and our forecasting and modelling data driven insight.

We are looking for an individual with experience of working with large and complex cloud environments and managing cloud vendors in technical or hyper-scale settings. You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of cloud technology, cost components and drivers.

You will work within our Vendor Management function alongside our Vendor Managers across technology vendor and commercial negotiations.

Part of your role will be establishing our requirements for managing the reporting of our usage and consumption of these services. You will be expected to lead the relevant activities with key stakeholders across the business.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Preparing for the annual PCI and ISO27001 audits and the annual compliance audits for the UK Gambling Commission, along with any other audits that have an information security component.
  • Assisting other teams in their audit requirements.
  • Ensuring information security controls are followed and continually evaluated throughout the business.
  • Creating, managing and ensuring appropriate review of all information security policy documents and offering innovative control solutions.
  • Demonstrating awareness and initiative whilst communicating with peers and management.
  • Contributing to the team as an active member in projects, business as usual activities and consulting information security matters throughout the business.
  • Advising junior team members.
  • Maintaining knowledge of current and emerging requirements, regulatory changes and trends.
  • Learning, actively sharing knowledge and fostering exchange of skills whilst identifying opportunities to enhance compliance.
  • Updating and extending team processes as necessary to accommodate business needs.

Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Payment Card Industry qualifications (QSA or ISA/PCIP).
  • ISO 27001 auditor qualification.
  • Commercial experience of information security and auditing.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Experience of project management.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • SaaS or consumer technology experience is essential.
