Cloud FinOps Engineer

Role & Responsibilities 

As a Cloud FinOps Analyst:

  • Monitor cloud spend day to day and prepare weekly & monthly reports for review of Cloud spend.
  • Collate, analyze and prioritize cloud optimization recommendations and calculate potential savings
  • Provide expert knowledge of cloud cost optimization strategies (e.g. rightsizing, power scheduling)
  • Ensuring optimization recommendations go through the appropriate governance process and get actioned
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to implement cost optimization recommendations and best practices

When not fully utilised by cloud FinOps engagement, join the platform technology teams daily activities to support the bullish exchange infrastructure.

 

 

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes
  • Experience with native and 3rd party Public Cloud cost management & advisory tools (Ternary, GCP Billing, GCP big query, big query, GCP Recommender, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor)
  • Experience with data analysis and data visualization tools (DataStudio, BigQuery, PowerBI, Tableau etc.)
  • Have good experience in GCP and/or AWS
  • Capable to consolidate data and deliver aggregate view/report
  • High proficiency with MS Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to details and accuracy
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
  • Knowledge and practical experience with SQL, Python
  • Certification in GCP or AWS
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner
