Cloud FinOps (Financial Analyst)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for cloud spending across multiple platforms (i.e., AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, IBM).

• Leverage management tools to identify and act upon optimization opportunities.

• Work closely with engineering and operations teams to recommend cost-optimization practices.

• Provide insights and recommendations on cloud usage and cost trends to senior management.

• Lead the FinOps practice within the organization, promoting a culture of cost awareness in cloud.

• Work with internal stakeholders, providing visibility into cloud spend and cost avoidance.

• Engage with cloud service providers to ensure cost-efficient optimization.

• Stay abreast of the latest cloud FinOps tools, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements: 

• 3-5+ experience in financial management, preferably cloud financial management or a cloud cost optimization role

• Strong understanding of cloud technologies and pricing models across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across functional teams to achieve business objectives

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about cloud cost management
