FinOps Analyst

We are looking for a Fin Ops Analyst with 3-5 years of experience.

The FinOps Technical Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud costs within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud technology, financial management principles, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Tech&Data team to implement and maintain FinOps practices and methodologies, ensuring that our cloud resources are utilized efficiently and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize cloud costs while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with the Tech&Data team to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor cloud spending and provide regular reports and insights to management.
• Implement cost allocation and chargeback mechanisms to improve cost transparency.
• Analyze usage patterns and identify areas for improvement in resource utilization.
• Recommend and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising performance.
• Work with cloud service providers to negotiate and optimize pricing.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud cost management best practices and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts for cloud expenditures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent). Master’s degree preferred.
• 4-5 years of experience in cloud cost management, financial analysis, and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in cloud cost management tools and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement FinOps best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Financial modeling and forecasting skills.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals) a plus.
