Cloud Developer Advisor – General Dynamics

Job Description

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. (GDIT) has an opening for the position of Cloud Developer Advisor (Ref# CDA610AMS).

Work Location:  Position may telecommute / work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Responsible for programming using Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, and other development languages and tools.  Develop Lightning components both within the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) and by writing custom Lightning Components in JavaScript. Maintain fluency with Apex and Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL).  Use source control (GIT) to track changes and collaborate with other developers.  Ensure all changes comply with unit test standards and pass security code scans.  Support the Product Owner in gathering requirements by providing solution options and highlighting dependencies with the existing implementation.  Oversee the end-to-end architecture of the Salesforce Platform (Salesforce Service Cloud, Experience Cloud (Portals), and Tableau CRM) and integrations.  Develop and configure solutions using Salesforce functionality / Lightning Components (LWC), Apex, Visualforce pages, SOQL, SOSL, etc.  Lead the complete development process from requirement analysis to deployment.  Review and provide feedback on technical implementations and documents and ensure that Salesforce best-practices and standards are followed.  Collaborate with junior developers to perform code reviews and provide feedback.  Create and maintain technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions, and Salesforce policies/procedures.  Mentor and provide guidance to the development team members.  Participate in the full application lifecycle – design, development, testing, and deployment.  Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving defects encountered during various stages of project delivery, including during the deployment and implementation of the solution in production environments.  Collaborate with team members to solve complex policy and system integration involving activities across several Salesforce organizations.

Requirements:  This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.  Plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Application Developer, Salesforce Architect, Salesforce Lead, or related experience.  Position requires 6 years of experience with developing custom applications in Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Components, Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), Visualforce, Service Cloud, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, and GIT.  Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II certification required.  40hrs/week.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 – $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
