Job Overview: The Cloud FinOps Specialist will play a key role in managing and optimizing cloud expenditures across Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and Microsoft Azure. This position requires a thorough understanding of cloud financial management, cost optimization strategies, and the ability to work closely with both technical and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Management: Monitor and manage cloud spending on Google Cloud Platform and Azure, ensuring cost efficiency and financial accountability.

Optimization Strategies: Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and best practices for cloud resource usage.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with finance teams to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses related to cloud expenses.

Reporting: Generate and present detailed reports on cloud spending, highlighting trends, cost anomalies, and opportunities for optimization.

Tagging and Allocation: Ensure proper tagging and allocation of cloud resources to accurately track and report costs.

Policy Implementation: Develop and enforce policies and procedures for cloud cost management and governance.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to drive cost optimization initiatives and promote a culture of cost awareness.

Tools and Automation: Utilize and maintain tools and automation to monitor and optimize cloud costs in real-time.
