Cloud Operations Engineer Mid/Senior

The Cloud Operations Engineer specializes in administration of environment infrastructure, inclusive of application and network hardware resources. Develops and manages a patching schedule and response to identified incidents from both production and non-production environments. Collaborates with product feature development teams to create run books, ‘night of deployment’ manuals, and contact lists prior to releasing new and/or enhanced features to production. This role is part of the overall Infrastructure Domain within the Körber OneIT matrix organization.

Responsibilities

  • Configuration and infrastructure management with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform
  • Executing and troubleshooting SaaS application deployment procedures
  • Development of and continual improvement of automation and procedures
  • Analysing and supporting infrastructure in AWS/Azure
  • Monitoring system performance and recommend corrective action.
  • Documenting current environment and ongoing maintenance of documentation
  • Collaborate with team leads, engineers, and support staff to ensure continuous and reliable delivery of service
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a related field (Networking, Software Development, Database Administration)
  • Knowledge of Window or Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storage
  • 1+ year of cloud implementations & operational support of a cloud ecosystem at Enterprise scale with Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes and tooling (ServiceNow, other)

Knowledge of or desire to learn:

  • Scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Powershell
  • AWS or Azure
  • Git, GitHub, and related
  • Pipelines and IaC

  • Team player with a positive attitude, while being capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills, attention to detail and desire to continuously learn and expand knowledge
  • Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for technical issues
