FinOps Specialist

What you’ll do

•    Analyse Cloud spend patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities
o    Provide recommendations for right-sizing, resizing, or decommissioning resources to maximise cost efficiency
o    Plan and execute Cloud savings plans, reservations, and commitment-based savings plans
o    Collaborate with technical and procurement teams on the most optimal use of cloud services
•    Monitor and track cloud usage costs
o    Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics related to Cloud spend
o    Provide input into financial budgets using actual and forecasted cost
o    Transact any cost-sharing activities as required (internal charging)
•    Stay updated on the latest cloud pricing models, cost management tools, and best practices in FinOps
•    Provide guidance and training to teams on cost optimisation strategies and cloud cost management tools

What you’ll need

•    Previous experience in a FinOps role (ideally certified) within a mid or large sized organisation
•    Detailed understanding of Azure pricing models and best practice cost optimisation techniques
•    Experience of Azure tagging and Azure Cost Management tools
•    Highly analytical, with experience in using both PowerBI and Excel
•    Experience in internal business charging, cloud architecture, other Cloud providers, or cloud cost management tools would be an advantage
