Description
As an Analytics Platforms FinOps Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to help optimize the financial performance of cloud analytics platforms like Snowflake. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that we are maximizing innovation and agility while minimizing costs. Your Responsibilities May Include

  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Provide cost analysis to budget holders to assist with annual budget setting
  • Assist with cloud usage and/or financial reporting
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reports for management and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency
  • Participate in ad hoc financial projects, reporting, and analysis as required
  • Consolidate handling of all Purchase Orders, service renewals, etc. for the broader Analytics Platforms team

Basic/Required

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • 1+ years of experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis
  • 1+ years of experience with financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and accounting principles
  • 1+ years of experience with financial technology platforms, such as cloud cost management tools, cloud billing systems, and analytics platforms
  • 1+ years of experience working with cloud native environments such as Microsoft Azure

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, related field, or foreign equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work in a distributed/remote team environment where team members may be in different physical locations and time zones
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to work closely across teams
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
  • Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
  • Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
