Cloud FinOps Senior Consultant | Cloud Financial Management Specialist

As an experienced Cloud Financial Management Specialist you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel.

Desired Profile:

The Cloud Financial Management Specialist will be responsible for the daily operations surround the Cloud FinOps teams. For example, a Client might request to have a script run daily to cross check a tag against a list of active accounts. The Cloud Financial Management Specialist will need to be able to gather all requirements for this task, prioritize them, generate a script to run daily and notify the necessary shareholders with the appropriate action to mitigate the inconsistencies. The Cloud Financial Management Specialist will also be responsible for updating regular reports and dashboards for clients, automating existing processes, generating cost reports for the Client and sharing best practices surrounding Cloud FinOps.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Create APIs for Data Gathering and Cost Allocation purposes.
  • Gather Data and Reports from Cloudability
  • Generate Cost Optimization Recommendations
  • Create and align API calls to help with data gathering and tagging strategies.
  • Acknowledge and respond to billing requests from Clients.
  • Extract necessary data from various tools such as (Cloudability, CSP Consoles, etc)
  • Compile data and summarize findings using standard templates for tables/slides.
  • Maintain and update dashboards and reports on a regular basis.
  • Generate weekly and/or monthly reports for Clients.
  • Support other reporting if necessary.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred. Bachelor’s degree in one of the following – Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Accounting
  • Experience working in technology industry, preferably in cloud operations or product and services.
  • Experience with data analysis, specifically cloud financial management.
  • Demonstrate intermediate understanding of cloud managed services and cloud billing process, and cost optimization.
  • Demonstrate excellent Communication skills across multiple practices internally and externally with clients.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Highly preferred experience in AWS/Azure/GCP, Cloudability
