FinOps Lead

We are looking for a top-notch FinOps Lead to join us. As the FinOps Lead, you will be responsible for assisting our customers in optimizing their AWS costs and financial operations. You will work closely with clients to understand their business requirements, analyze their AWS infrastructure and usage patterns, and provide strategic recommendations for cost optimization. Your expertise in AWS cost management, financial analysis, and automation will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their cost-saving goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, a strong background in DevOps, and exceptional client-facing skills.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and oversee internal FinOps initiatives, providing guidance and direction to internal teams and clients to drive cost optimization across the organization.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their AWS infrastructure, usage, and cost patterns, conducting detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies for optimizing AWS costs, including Reserved Instance management, right-sizing instances, implementing cost allocation tags, and leveraging cost optimization best practices.
• Build and establish processes, frameworks, and automation tools for efficient FinOps practices within our organization and for our clients.
• Utilize AWS Cost Explorer and other cost management tools to monitor, analyze, and report on cost trends and anomalies.
• Research and stay up-to-date with the latest AWS pricing models, services, and cost management tools to provide informed recommendations.
• Collaborate with client teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to ensure alignment and adoption of cost optimization initiatives.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to clients and internal teams on AWS cost optimization strategies and tools.

What we’re looking for:

• 3+ years in FinOps, DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar roles.
• Strong expertise in AWS services, particularly in cost optimization and management.
• Familiarity with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and other cost management tools.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills to effectively collaborate with clients and provide guidance.
• Ability to analyze complex technical and financial data and translate it into actionable insights for clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and proactively.
• Self-learner, with the ability to take on new technologies and practices.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
