Officer Cloud Financial Analytics

You will also manage our use of discount vehicles to optimize our cloud infrastructure costs and help drive efficiency. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To monitor cloud usage and expenses and analyze cost and usage data to identify trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • To demonstrate technical knowledge of one or more major cloud platforms with an understanding of cloud concepts such as compute services, elasticity, tagging, billing, pricing models, discount options, and cost reporting tools.
  • To gain knowledge of core financial concepts in cloud computing such as cost showback, cost allocation, forecasting, and amortization.
  • To assist in creating and maintaining budgets for cloud services.
  • To develop reports, metrics, and models to analyze cloud costs and forecast future spend, based on business needs.
  • To help project teams understand their monthly spending and create reports to help them monitor their costs.
  • To stay informed about updates, features, and pricing changes on major cloud platforms.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or FinOps-related courses
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Cloud FinOps or Cloud Spend Analysis role.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of cloud computing and cloud service providers such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Alibaba, Google Cloud, and Cost Explorer.
  • General understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS).
  • Familiarity with financial concepts and budgeting.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

  • Certification from a major cloud vendor or the FinOps Foundation is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and Reporting Frameworks such as Power BI, etc. is a plus.
