FinOps Lead

As a FinOps Lead, you will be part of a highly skilled technology and agile team by supporting and developing cutting-edge solutions to meet our business requirements. You will help us accelerate our customers’ business results by innovating cutting-edge digital products. 

Some of your essential day-to-day job duties and responsibilities will include: 

• Analyze cloud spend across different services, particularly Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) resources, to identify potential cost savings and implement cost optimization actions.
• Set and track budgets according to organizational needs, including by account, project, or cost center.
• Implement and manage automated tools to identify cost trends and anomalies, and track budget performance against estimates.
• Develop and manage financial and usage dashboards. Collaborate with financial teams on budget forecasting, tagging, and related FinOps-centric KPIs and SLA analytics.
• Negotiate cost terms and contracts with hyperscaler vendors, particularly focusing on Azure.
• Drive architectural discussions to ensure the most cost- efficient cloud usage choices and develop best practices for cloud cost management.

Our Requirement:

• 6+ years of proven experience in FinOps or technology related financial management roles.
• Experience in leadership and team management.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong skills in financial analysis and reporting, with the ability to create comprehensive dashboards and reports for cloud spending and optimization.
• Proficiency in using cloud cost management and optimization tools such as Cloudability, Spot.io, Densify, reserved.ai, and similar platforms.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell and Bash for automating tasks related to cloud cost management and reporting.
• Experience implementing FinOps practices for cost optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to achieve financial and operational objectives.
• Relevant certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Certification and FinOps Foundation Certified Practitioner, are a plus.
