Cloud FinOps Lead

Purpose of the Role:

An exciting 8-month parental leave cover that now exists to join the Service Delivery team as a Cloud FinOps Lead. In this role you’ll work to manage IT resources required to plan for, deliver, control and support IT services ensuring they are meeting the requirements of the business. Responsibilities include:

• Create Cloud FinOps frameworks and governance
• Establishing strong cost management practice in the public cloud for AWS and Azure
• Define Cloud cost performance KPIs
• Promote best practices for cloud spend management.
• Lead small and medium initiatives related to cloud budgeting / forecasting, chargeback, capacity management, cost optimization and reporting.
• Analyse, and produce insights from cloud billing, usage, and inventory tools.

You will also be required to demonstrate well-developed problem-solving skills, great attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. We will provide you with a FinOps opportunity to grow industry relevant experience, training, mentoring and support. You will also have some of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT, Service Management or Project Management related discipline
• Possess a current FinOps certification, or ability to attain within 6 months
• Possess a Foundational Cloud Certification in AWS or Azure, or ability to attain within 6 months
