Overview

The Enterprise Architect Infrastructure explores new technologies and sets the technology direction while ensuring alignment with business strategies and drivers. Establishes the approach for integration of information applications and programs. The role integrates the project and program strategies across multiple programs and projects. Finally, the IT Enterprise Architect catalogs, develops, coordinates, communicates, maintains, and enforces the overall Enterprise Architecture Models, Representations, Initiatives, Capabilities, and Standard Components used by the Enterprise to perform all business and technology related activities. The individual has very strong VP level leadership and behavior competencies.

Specialized Skills and Technologies

  • Technology thought leader with strong business acumen and ability to map technology trends and emerging business demands to define future enterprise technology landscape and help deliver it
  • Deep expertise developing enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap covering data center, cloud, network, security, and operations. Architecting infrastructure for resiliency and business continuity
  • 10+ years’ experience architecting enterprise technology infrastructure, formulating data center and cloud strategies. Knowledge of CloudOps and FinOps is a plus
  • Evaluate infrastructure technologies, manage RFI/RFP process and define rollout plan
  • Guide infrastructure teams on new technologies
  • Deep understanding of modern digital application demands including DevSecOps, CI/CD, elastic scalability, load balancing and highly available resilient architecture patterns
  • Experienced reviewing application architectures
  • Guide application delivery teams on infrastructure requirements, capacity planning and operations
  • Experience with Azure or AWS cloud

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate Architecture Plans
  • Assist in aligning business and enterprise initiatives with the Enterprise Architecture
  • Audit compliance within the Enterprise Architecture standards
  • Facilitate strategic sessions up to an executive level
  • Market (“sell” the results of architectural approaches through presentations)
  • Model and create graphical representations and abstractions
  • Translate/map business strategy into information strategy
  • Stay up to date on best practices and new technologies and solutions
  • Coordinate all Enterprise Architecture and governance activities
  • Serve as an expert in applicant development, database design, and/or platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT policies, industry regulations, and best practices
  • Work with Solution Architects and Solution Engineers to ensure solutions throughout all IT systems and platforms adhere to the enterprise architecture and to mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and education combination
  • 12+ years of work experience in IT
  • Broad Technical knowledge across platforms (versus deep knowledge on specific platforms such as SAP, SalesForce, Microsoft)
  • Proven ability building relationships and influencing Executives
  • Proven ability translating business strategies into information strategies
  • Analytical and strategic background that includes a broader background in different industry sectors including at least some experience in a SGWS associated industry such as retail, distribution, food and beverage, or others
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills including experience presenting and facilitating workshops and seminars
  • Understanding of technology products and vendor strategies, products, and customer preferences
  • Experience modeling, and representing the organizations business requirements in a human consumable manner, as it relates to strategy
