The Team

Fidelity’s Cloud and Platform Engineering (CAPE) organization’s mission is to power the next generation of Fidelity digital services through innovation, collaboration, and transparency. CAPE’s FinOps team is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer, with a passion for FinOps and maximizing the business value of cloud. Our mission is to get the most value of every dollar spent in the cloud.

The Role

As a FinOps Cloud Engineer, you will be an integral member of the team continuously innovating and improving our cloud financial controls and resource optimization, while helping to drive a culture of accountability across Fidelity.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5 or more years’ experience as cloud engineer, data engineer or data analyst.
  • B.S. degree in finance, accounting, statistics, computer science or equivalent technical field.
  • Experience working with AWS or Azure and a deep understanding of cloud-based service usage, pricing, and commitment-based discounts.
  • Strong database knowledge and proven experience with data analysis, database design, data visualization and data ETL processes.
  • Experience with cloud data storage and access using Snowflake / S3.
  • Experience in building solutions using Python and experience in working with large data sets.
  • Experience gathering requirements, building project plans, and managing projects to completion.
  • Experience working with distributed and agile teams.
  • A passion for learning new technologies, practices, and ways of working.
