Finance & Operations Manager – Trumpet

Who you are

  • A strong affinity with trumpet’s values
  • At least 3+ years of experience in finance and operations in a similar size company
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency in cloud cost management and optimisation techniques
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices
  • Experience with financial software and tools, particularly Xero, Stripe, Zapier and ChartMogul, and CRM tools ideally Hubspot
  • Familiarity with HR systems, preferably Charlie HR
  • Knowledge of security and compliance practices, especially in relation to Vanta
  • Excellent analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace and leverage AI technologies for increased efficiency
  • Relentless pursuit of growth: You are driven by an insatiable appetite for growth, both personal and professional

What the job involves

  • Managing all financial aspects of the company, including payroll, pensions invoicing, and payments
  • Implementing and maintaining financial systems and processes using Xero, Stripe, and other relevant tools
  • Collaborating closely with founders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Overseeing operational tasks such as security protocols, systems provisioning, and access management
  • Overseeing our billing, invoices and debt management processes
  • Generating and analysing financial reports using ChartMogul and other reporting tools
  • Continuously assessing and improving operational efficiency across the organisation
  • Managing relationships with external financial partners and vendors
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting the company’s growth by developing scalable financial and operational processes
  • Leveraging AI and automation tools like Zapier to streamline workflows and increase productivity
  • Supporting the team and office, with operational tasks, onboarding packs, social event planning, merchandise and supply ordering and other administrative tasks
