Location – Glen Allan, VA

Salary Range – $140k – $150k/annum + Benefits

 

• FinOps Specialist manages analyses and optimizes cloud expenditure by aligning engineering finance and business teams They are responsible for implementing cloud costsaving strategies forecasting usage improving cost transparency and fostering a culture of financial accountability across cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP

 

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Cost Optimization Analyze usage patterns to identify and implement costsaving opportunities such as reserved instances or resource scheduling

Financial Modelling Forecasting Develop budgets track spending anomalies and forecast future cloud expenditures

CrossFunctional Collaboration Act as a bridge between technical teams engineeringDevOps and finance to ensure efficient resource allocation

Reporting Governance Create dashboards establish policies for accountability and provide actionable insights to leadership

Vendor Management Negotiate pricing and manage relationships with cloud service providers

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

Experience 15 years in Finance Accounting or Cloud Operations

Technical Knowledge Proficiency with cloud provider billing tools AWS Billing Azure Cost Management and FinOps tools eg CloudHealth Apptio Cloudability

Analytical Skills Strong Excel skills pivot tables VLOOKUP and experience with BI tools for data visualization

Financial Acumen Understanding of budgeting forecasting and unit economics

Soft Skills Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive adoption of FinOps best practices

 

 

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Azure Infrastructure as Code to design implement and manage automated cloud infrastructure solutions using Azure DevOps and related tools

 

Job Description

Lead the development and management of Infrastructure as Code IaC solutions primarily using Terraform for Azure environments Design and implement automation workflows leveraging Azure Automation Services Ansible and BashShell scripting to enhance cloud operations Develop and maintain CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins to automate build test and deployment processes Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate DevOps best practices and tools into the software development lifecycle Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on deployment efficiency governance and compliance within Azure cloud infrastructure Mentor and guide junior team members on Azure DevOps automation tools and infrastructure as code practices Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in Azure infrastructure automation and DevOps methodologies

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Implement and manage Terraform scripts for provisioning and maintaining Azure cloud resources Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to enforce configuration management and system state consistency Create and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines and Jenkins jobs for automated CICD workflows Automate routine operational tasks using BashShell scripting and Azure Automation runbooks Collaborate with architects and development teams to define and enforce DevOps standards policies and quality gates Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation workflows pipeline failures and infrastructure provisioning Participate in capacity planning performance tuning and cost optimization of Azure resources Ensure security and compliance requirements are integrated into automation and deployment processes Work in agile teams contributing to standups retrospectives and continuous delivery improvements Communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels to provide technical expertise and project
