FinOps Tech Lead

As a FinOps Tech Lead, you will lead the cloud financial management strategy, ensuring cost efficiency, accountability, and optimization across multi-cloud environments. You will combine technical leadership and financial governance, working closely with engineering, finance, and product teams to drive data-driven decisions, automation, and cost transparency.

Which tasks can you expect?

Key Result Areas

• FinOps Strategy & Architecture – Define and lead the roadmap for cloud cost optimization and financial governance.

• Cost Visibility & Accountability – Implement tagging strategies, dashboards, and reporting for real-time cost insights.

• Automation & Tooling – Drive automation for cost anomaly detection, budget alerts, and resource optimization.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management – Partner with finance, procurement, and engineering teams to align cost strategies.

• Technical Leadership & Mentorship – Guide FinOps engineers and foster a culture of cost efficiency and financial discipline.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead cloud financial management practices across AWS, Azure, and other platforms.
• Define cost optimization strategies, including pricing models and resource allocation.
• Implement real-time monitoring and anomaly detection for cloud spend.
• Drive automation initiatives for cost reporting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams and other stakeholders to align reliability and cost efficiency.
• Mentor team members and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on FinOps best practices.

What do you have to offer?

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong expertise in FinOps principles, cloud economics, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tagging strategies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools.
• Excellent financial analysis, forecasting, and business case development skills.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.
