Position Summary:
We seek an experienced and detail oriented FinOps Specialist to join our Finance team. The FinOps Specialist will develop, implement, and manage financial operations processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the financial services industry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Responsibilities
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology Management
· Knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud pricing schemes
· Experience with native and 3rd party Public Cloud cost management & advisory tools (AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Trusted Advisor, Azure Advisor, GCP Recommender, Cloud ability etc.)
· High proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to work independently with strong attention to details and accuracy
· Develop and implement financial operations processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency
· Oversee the daily financial operations of the organization, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting
· Monitor and analyse financial performance and recommend strategies to optimize operations
· Prepare and analyse financial forecasts, budgets, and other financial reports.
· Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements
· Maintain financial records and ensured the accuracy of data
· Provide training and support to staff members responsible for financial operations
· Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, and other financial institutions.
· Understanding of the core Finance & Accounting principles, basic understanding of the accounting processes (budgeting, accruals, etc.)
· Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and client relationships
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
· Relevant years of experience in financial operations
· Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices
· Proficient in using financial software and other financial management tools
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
