For GEODIS Digital & Technology (D&T) Group, we are offering a FinOps Specialist position hosted within the group D&T Office department – strongly working with both controlling and finance teams on one hand and Infrastructures teams on the other hand. She/He will handle several scopes of responsibilities as follow:

Economical and operational performance management

Finalizing and improving the design of the FinOps function of GEODIS and executing it. This required to necessary interactions with multiple stakeholders across the board: Global infra, D&T Corporate, D&T controlling Teams, D&T Office teams to deliver best performance of our technologies

Managing Cloud consumption and valuation of spending across the board (both for Group asset and locally used assets as well) including billing review and validation from our provider (currently Insight)

Managing CloudEasier (or other FinOps related) application (app owner) supporting economic reporting for D&T function

Improving FinOps / Cloud Key Performance Indicators & dashboard for Cloud consumption and optimization

Contributing and/or leading optimization leads together with operational/technological and controlling stakeholders

Closely work with D&T Group Controllers to follow-up on financial indicators, and give proactive recommendations identifying main sources of potential benefits

Financial Planning and analysis

Contributing to budget process for Cloud platforms across the globe

Tracking costs and cost savings across the globe

Identifying and mitigating risks related to Cloud usages (compliance, optimization, change of the model

Overseeing the measurement and reporting of vendor performance

FinOps community federation & animation

Organizing and preparing specific Governance for each LoB & Region using Cloud platform and hosting services from the Group with the objective to fluidify the relationship between central and local teams to fetch saving in hosting costs

Creating & animating FinOps community: sharing knowledge, expertise, and best practices and following-up on action plans

Challenging all Application Owners on their need for hosting

Cloud service Strategy and compliance

Contributing to Global Infrastructures Cloud Strategy Worldwide

Technology watch on Cloud Platform and market solutions (Cloud Easier, etc) / attend workshop and REX on Cloud optimization

Liaising with Software Asset Manager regarding the compliance of cloud capabilities license of GEODIS worldwide

Business School master’s Degree, Engineering Master’s degree or University master’s degree, preferably in IT, Digital or Technology

5+ years of experience in IT / infrastructures / cloud transformation and performance, 2+ years with FinOps project management and economical improvement of Cloud assets

Good animation and organization skills, attention to detail. Ability to easily collaborate, work transversally and foster teamwork between departments

Capacity to work with multiple stake holders both technical and economical

Proficient with FinOps main tools & platform

Proficient with Azure Cloud Platform, knowledge of other platforms a plus

Ability to synthetize and to prepare clear data driver reporting with intel and analysis

Soft skills to promote effective decision making

Strong capability to manipulate data and data viz tooling (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI…)

Strong result driven orientation

Fluent in English, proficient in French a plus

Pro-active, interested in and able to find solutions, able to work within and lead a limited local team. Hands-on and constructive attitude

Good analytical and conceptual skills and a structured way of working

Good management and communication skills:

Well organized with interest to develop structures and methods

Ability to set and follow up clear objectives

Able to interact functionally with stakeholders to get key information for consolidation

Ability to work independently as well as in a (virtual) team environment

Ability to create and nurture trustful relations despite the cultural differences and geographical distance

A pragmatic approach to work and the ability to be flexible when needed
