We are looking for a person to join our team for the position of:
Google Cloud Data Architect
Your future role:
- Creating comprehensive data architecture projects in Google Cloud Platform, taking into account business requirements, scalability, performance, security and cost optimization,
- Implementing solutions using a wide range of GCP services, such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Functions and others,
- Designing and implementing reliable and efficient data pipelines for processing, transformation and loading data (ETL/ELT),
- Monitoring, analyzing and optimizing the performance of existing data solutions in GCP, identifying bottlenecks and introducing improvements,
- Controlling and optimizing costs related to the use of GCP services,
- Working closely with client teams to understand needs and deliver optimal solutions,
- Taking care of data security and compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. GDPR),
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation of designed and implemented solutions,
- Sharing knowledge and experience with other team members, supporting them in developing skills related to GCP,
implementation of solutions in the form of Infrastructure as Code,
planning and implementation of data migration to the GCP cloud,
creation of agnostic and multi-cloud solutions (using Azure and AWS clouds),
supporting the implementation of AI solutions.
Apply if:
- you have at least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing data-driven solutions, including at least 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform,
- you have in-depth knowledge of GCP services, in particular: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer/Airflow, Cloud Functions,
- you are fluent in SQL and at least one of the programming languages: Python, Java, Scala,
- you have experience in designing and building data warehouses (Data Warehouse) and Data Lake,
- you understand the issues related to data security in the cloud and are able to apply them in practice,
- you are a problem-solving person, proactive and eager to learn,
- you work with technologies for infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as Code e.g. Terraform),
- you have the ability to communicate effectively with client-side teams in Polish and English (minimum B2),
- you have experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI),
- you have the ability to work in demanding design situations and create appropriate solutions in collaboration with the client.
Nice to have:
- knowledge of data solutions in other public clouds, such as Microsoft Azure (e.g. Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) (e.g. Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR), Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
