Cloud FinOps Data Analytics Consultant

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with data modeling, data visualization, and building dashboards.
  • Experience manipulating datasets (e.g., SQL, Google BigQuery or ETL tools).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in big data, information retrieval, data mining or machine learning.
  • Experiences in building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g., NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, Tensorflow).
  • Experience implementing BI tools including Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI.
  • Experience in working with/on data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures.

About the job

As a Data Analytics Consultant, you will guide customers on how to invest, store, process, analyze, and explore Cloud billing data on the Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you will also have an opportunity to build scalable, flexible, and customized solutions for our customers.

This role will be a key part of the Digital Transformation Consulting team and you will specialize in delivering large-scale Cloud Financial Operations transformations. This will involve conducting assessments, delivering workshops to assess current-state Cloud financial capabilities and designing Cloud financial processes, cost optimization, planning and forecasting, organizational structures, and Cloud financial tooling for the public cloud.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor to customers and solve complex data analytics challenges in support of better Cloud financial management.
  • Architect, design, and deploy Google Cloud Platform’s suite of data analytics and business intelligence services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Looker Studio, and Looker to support Cloud Financial Operations capabilities.
  • Design and deliver technical solutions leveraging data analytics and Google Cloud business intelligence platform such as Looker and Looker Studio to provide near real-time Cloud cost visibility through cost reporting dashboards, enable tracking of Cloud spend, and build data models to provide better granularity and visibility into Cloud financial forecasting.
  • Create and deliver Cloud Financial Operations leading practices recommendations, tutorials, sample code, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
