Cloud FinOps Engineer

What You Will Do:

Cloud FinOps Engineer:

  • Identify areas of high influence that can be implemented centrally to increase the overall efficiency of cloud spend.
  • Work with lines of businesses to implement savings opportunities within their cloud footprints and applications.
  • Create and implement actionable plans to drive savings.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance around architectural best practices that help elevate cost optimization
  • Deliver new and iterative features to the Cloud FinOps reporting and data platform.
  • Leverage automation and scripting to democratize and deliver meaningful alerts, insights, anomalies, workflow, and other tools.
  • Identify ways to enhance forecasting, showback and modeling of cloud spend, including the delineation between cost to produce and cost to serve for tracking cloud costs back to business benefits.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Minimum of Three Years of Relative/Related Experience
  • Solid understanding of what comprises a scalable, robust, supportable design
  • Synthesis of analysis and research into strategic insights and practical recommendations.
  • Experience with Cloud Financial Management
  • Hands on experience developing APIs, Uis, and automation.
  • Hands on experience with multiple programming languages.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Air Force experience
  • Azure and/or AWS Architect certification

 

The annual salary range for this position is $86,100.00-$172,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
