Senior FinOps Analyst

Job Summary and Qualifications

HCA Healthcare is  looking for an experienced Sr. Financial/Ops Analyst and Practitioner to support cloud financial chargeback, show back, consumption analysis, and reporting. We want someone who is passionate about cloud and eager to be a part of our FinOps team as our Company moves to a new level of cloud capability.

• Prepare monthly cloud chargeback to ITG business units using the Automated Billing files.
• Prepare intercompany cloud chargeback entry to outside line of business units using the provider billing files.
• Assist in the annual budget process by providing and reviewing chargeback information and evaluating budget for chargeback opportunities and shared cloud costs.
• Oversee tagging and labeling strategy to ensure all cloud environments are properly identified for reporting, showback and chargeback purposes. Ensure compliance with HCA cloud policy and work to remediate any non-compliant subscriptions or projects.
• Assist with collection of consumption data from Cloud Service Providers and oversee aggregation into a reporting package for Application Owners.
• Build and automate the process of generating reports for show-back of cloud application costs to Application Owners.
• Validate the cloud indirect fee percentage applied to MS Azure subscriptions and GCP projects by evaluating shared costs annually.
• Provide weekly visibility through Power BI to Application Owners on their cloud MS Azure subscriptions or GCP projects so they have feedback to make the right decision for the business.
• Advise Application Owners of specific improvement recommendations and resolve ad hoc requests. Work in conjunction with Cost Optimization Manager to achieve savings results.
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise on cloud billing processes and data sources. Provide support for questions related to outside business and project related cloud consumption billing and budgeting for chargebacks.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelors Degree
• Preferred 7 years of work experience; 4 year of IT business operations
• Experience in Public cloud management tool using the FinOps discipline
• Strong ability to collaborate with various teams and problem solving skills
• Strong communication (both written and oral), organizational, and analytical skills
• Familiarity with public cloud billing and services including AWS, Azure, and GCP
• FinOps certification is highly desirable
• Experience presenting to various levels of leadership and technical acumen, and Microsoft Office tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Power BI
