Cloud FinOps Engineer

Your responsibility

  • Analyze and implement cost optimization actions over different cloud services
  • Work with our IT DevOps teams to implement cost optimization recommendations and build more cost-efficient services
  • Develop and maintain automated cost reporting systems and FinOps toolsets
  • Work with our IT finance team on budget, forecast and reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery cloud financial management of projects
  • Stay up-to-date with cloud cost management and optimization trends
  • Evaluate data patterns to inform strategic and operational decisions of cloud usage

Your qualification

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or related field
  • Prior experience in FinOps/Public Cloud billing
  • Hands on experience developing APIs, UIs, and automation
  • Experience with client facing presentations and effectively communicating complex information
  • Strong analytical and quantitative data analysis; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Knowledge of AWS and Azure (a plus is knowledge of Cloud services offered, Cost Explorer, and billing semantics, CUR/billing report, Invoice process, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, etc.)
