Cloud FinOps Manager – AVP – Cloud Platform Service – IT

We are seeking a skilled Cloud FinOps Manager to oversee our cloud demand management, financial operations, manage the annual operating plan (AOP) budget, and optimize cloud spend across the organization. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between finance, engineering, and operations to ensure effective cloud cost management and governance.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:

• Budget Management: Develop and manage the cloud AOP budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Cost Optimization: Analyze cloud usage and spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Demand Management: Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to forecast cloud usage and demand accurately.
• Financial Reporting: Create and present regular financial reports on cloud spending, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce cloud financial governance policies and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with finance, IT application and infrastructure teams to implement best practices for cloud financial management.
• Tool Implementation: Evaluate and implement FinOps tools and solutions to enhance visibility and control over cloud expenses.
• Training and Awareness: Provide training and resources to teams on cloud cost management best practices.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ year of relevant experience with 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, IT finance, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and pricing models (e.g. AWS, Azure or Private Cloud).
• Experience with FinOps practices and Cloud cost management tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability into interpret complex financial data.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work collaborative across teams and functions.
