The Opportunity

We are looking for Customer Focused Cloud FinOps Consultants with minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT (Cloud) Financial management & Organizational Strategy to formulate strategical recommendations and to maximize RoI and make our customer’s project more self-funded.

You will provide strategic guidance and long-term vision, encompassing strategic planning and alignment with business goals whilst working closely with our clients to solve complex financial cloud optimization & migration challenges. As part of your role, you are expected to be hands-on, will be able to deliver practical FinOps levers which are fit for purpose, assessing the environment and constraints whilst showing a desire to challenge conventional thinking.

You will contribute to the broader FinOps community through speaking engagements, publications, or participation in industry events

Requirements

 

The Role

• Being a trusted advisor, guiding our clients towards a successful solution to their cost challenges.
• Taking part in early engagement to help identify & convert compelling vision for our client’s cloud optimization and migration journeys.
• Travelling to various IC locations, e.g., in mainland Europe, for project work or for developing competencies across the region.
• Expertise in Operations in Cloud and hybrid environments.
• Relevant & valid certifications in FinOps Foundation
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious
• Able to balance technical and commercial considerations to develop practical recommendations for our clients.
• Able to build strong and effective business relationships at all levels.
• An outstanding communicator (both written and verbal)
• Able to work collaboratively in a fast moving and ambiguous environment under time pressure.
• Able to work with Engineers and to communicate and articulate with PMs and senior architects.

• Assessing the migration path and utilization, driving financial accountability and cost transparency
• Implementing and configuring appropriate technology to perform ongoing monitoring of the Cloud spend
• Providing functional support in realizing the cloud optimization plans
• Creating custom reports and comparisons for internal and external stakeholders

About You

You will have strong career progression to date, and experience working with recognized consulting brands and large commercial sector clients.

What we look in you

• Strong Azure/AWS Cloud knowledge
• Practical experience in Cloud Reporting, Alerting & Monitoring
• Experience with PowerBI or other analytical tools
• Understanding of cloud services and payment models
• Ability to analyze big chunks of data.
• Capacity to work in an ad-hoc environment with minimal management overhead
• A drive to learn new tools.
• Languages: Fluent in English. Working Knowledge of Dutch will be preferred.
