Position Overview We are seeking an ITAM Lead to manage a client-facing IT Asset Management engagement. You will own day-to-day delivery, governance, and reporting across HAM/SAM, license compliance, and Flexera ONE platform operations, ensuring accurate asset visibility, audit readiness, and measurable optimization outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Engagement Leadership
- Lead ITAM service delivery for the client; manage priorities, stakeholders, and governance cadence (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
- Own KPIs, service metrics, action trackers, and continuous improvement
- Flexera ONE Administration & Health
- Administer users/roles/access, platform configuration (out-of-the-box), connectors/agents/inventory feeds
- Monitor jobs, schedules, data latency; coordinate with Flexera Support; maintain runbooks/documentation
- Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Governance
- Ensure inventory coverage and scan freshness; identify stale/duplicate/orphan assets
- Drive normalization/reconciliation; improve owner/location/cost center completeness
- Support contract/lease linkage and related reporting
- Software Inventory & Normalization (IT Visibility)
- Manage software discovery and recognition; reduce unknown/unrecognized queues
- Maintain publisher/product/version hygiene; validate device/user associations
- Support onboarding of new sources/connectors
- Software License Compliance & ELP
- Maintain validated entitlement repository; configure license models/metrics/rules
- Run periodic ELPs; produce compliance/risk/exposure insights and optimization opportunities
- Support audit readiness and evidence preparation (in-scope publishers)
- Request, Allocation & Reclaim
- Validate availability, record allocations/transfers/reclaims; support harvesting/offboarding
- Coordinate with ITSM and deployment teams; track turnaround and aging
Required Skillsets
- 10+ years in ITAM/SAM with 3+ years leading delivery or engagements
- Hands-on Flexera ONE (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of HAM lifecycle, software recognition/normalization, licensing basics and ELP processes
- Proven client/stakeholder management, reporting, and governance facilitation
- Analytical mindset; strong documentation and communication skills
- ITIL Foundation, IAITAM (CSAM/CHAMP), Flexera certifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of interacting confidently with senior executives and clients
- This is a remote position based in the United States
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (master’s degree preferred)
