Role Context

The Manila FinOps Analyst plays a pivotal role in leading a team that generates proactive insights and recommendations about customer cloud environments and creates monthly

reports. These proactive insights and recommendations form the basis of regular updates in periodic operational review sessions provided by frontline CMND staff, and underpin the

baseline services expected by customers, keeping them updated and happy. The FinOps Team Analyst is responsible for delivering detailed analysis and reporting for a

designated set of customers:

• Build working relationships with the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and Personal Customer Technical Officer (PCTO) community.

• Provide minor enhancements and updates to work instructions in our internal knowledgebase, ensuring they are accurate and up to date as they may change with

time.

• Run monthly analysis and maintenance tasks against a prescribed set of customer cloud environments each month:

o Collaborate with CMND to understand business requirements and align insights with the organization’s goals and objectives.

o Gather data and perform comprehensive analysis to identify areas for improvement, potential risks, and optimisation opportunities within the cloud

environment.

o Produce standardised reports containing recommendations and insights relating to the Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF), ready for consumption by our frontline

CMND team and ready for delivery to customers.

• Execute individual prescribed proactive work items on behalf of CMND and the customer, for example the implementation of cost saving measures in public cloud.

The FinOps Analyst will have a sense of urgency about achieving goals, attention to detail and customer focus. The analyst will have a natural curiosity inclusive of, but not limited to cloud technologies, and a strong desire to make a difference.
