YOUR ROLE:
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our FinOps software engineering teams.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Oversee the agile development process, including planning, development, testing, and release, to deliver high-quality product features on a predictable schedule.
- Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, user experience, and technical leaders to prioritize financial management and reporting features that turn our customers into fans.
- Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging cross-team communication, identifying and driving opportunities for change, and proactively mitigating risk.
- Attract, hire, and onboard top talent.
WHAT WE ARE EXPECTING FROM YOU (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE):
- Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects.
- 5+ years as a software engineer with a strong background in software development.
- A passion for coaching and building high performing teams, including motivating and enabling people to do their best work.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams and manage multiple competing priorities.
- In-depth knowledge of modern software development best practices, including Product Management, Lean, Agile, DevOps, and CloudOp.
OUR WISH LIST (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE):
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- Experience in the FinOps, DevOps, or Cloud Operations space and interest in the future of cloud financial management.
- Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software that runs on one or more of the major public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
