Engineering Manager (FinOps)

YOUR ROLE:

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our FinOps software engineering teams.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Oversee the agile development process, including planning, development, testing, and release, to deliver high-quality product features on a predictable schedule.
  • Lead a team of software engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product management, user experience, and technical leaders to prioritize financial management and reporting features that turn our customers into fans.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, encouraging cross-team communication, identifying and driving opportunities for change, and proactively mitigating risk.
  • ​​Attract, hire, and onboard top talent.

WHAT WE ARE EXPECTING FROM YOU (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE):

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams or projects.
  • 5+ years as a software engineer with a strong background in software development.
  • A passion for coaching and building high performing teams, including motivating and enabling people to do their best work.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional remote teams and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern software development best practices, including Product Management, Lean, Agile, DevOps, and CloudOp.

OUR WISH LIST (I.E., THE QUALIFICATIONS WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in the FinOps, DevOps, or Cloud Operations space and interest in the future of cloud financial management.
  • Experience delivering SaaS or enterprise software that runs on one or more of the major public cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
