Director Cloud Enablement

Core Responsibilities

In this role, you will help define and deliver the cloud vision of the LEGO Group to enable business agility and advocate for modern cloud architecture and new ways of working. You will help set the technical direction within cloud architecture and ensure its adoption together with our Lead Engineer, and the overall engineering community at the LEGO Group. You will also help drive the adoption of the best Cloud solutions within the organization.

  • Reduce lead time by driving an automation and self-service agenda for all capabilities.
  • Recruit talent and support their continued development through mentoring and coaching.
  • Boost capabilities and drive the growth.
  • Enable product teams to meet business needs by ensuring right allocation of talent.
  • Foster a collaborative community for product teams enabling them to release their potential.
  • Coordinate and run activities to foster a motivated, brave and curios teams with focus on craftmanship and strong performance.

 

Play your part in our team succeeding

The team is a core team for LEGO Group, providing foundational capabilities for our product teams using or migrating to cloud. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO engineers, and we are planning to expand. We are the guides in Cloud in the organization. That is why we are the ones that help product teams adopt Cloud and assist them with creation of a DevSecOps experience.

 

Our cloud estate spans multiple cloud providers and runs some of our most critical workloads. We are seeing growth of the platforms and are looking to shift gears to deliver the best multi-cloud experience for our brave engineering colleagues.

 

The team is based at the brand-new LEGO Campus in Billund and in our new Copenhagen Digital Office. The work environment is exciting, inspiring, flexible, and we like to have fun along the way!

 

Do you have what it takes?

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a solid technical background and prior several years hands-on Software engineering experience, with an encouraged Cloud Computing Certification (AWS, Azure or GCP).

 

You should have a strong seniority in working with Cloud Computing and be comfortable working with a variety of technologies. Superb communication and managing skills are also a must, as you will be responsible for building and leading a team of highly skilled engineers. You need to collaborate with multiple partners across organization and be compatible with the senior leadership on strategic topics around Cloud adoption.

 

Experience in SCRUM and agile ways of working is encouraged.

 

To also succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

  • Proficient in enterprise cloud governance.
  • Experience with Cloud FinOps practices.
  • An eye for crafting flow, delivering value and removing waste.
  • Experience with software development and building DevOps Teams
  • Strong product-centric background.
  • Influences others to accept practices and approach.

 

Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are an international gathered team.
