Job Description
You will join our FinTech Ops team which is placed within our Infrastructure organization. Our team currently consists of 14 internal colleagues and some external consultants. We support and collaborate closely with various technical product teams, covering network, cloud, hardware- and software asset management.
We have a very open, collaborative, easygoing, and fun atmosphere in our team. We are a very diverse group of people who have a high degree of professionalism, and we always strive to deliver high quality results, but we also love to send GIF’s, crack jokes and drink coffee at the Barista. Spoiler; we have three baristas at LEGO Campus and coffee is free!
Partnering with DX and Cloud Foundation team
As a FinOps Specialist, you will partner up with our DX and Cloud Foundation team, which consists of a team of passionate cloud engineers, who help product teams adopt Cloud and assist them with creation of a DevSecOps experience. We work in an agile backlog-driven setup which means we have very close collaboration.
Cloud is a key strategic focus for the digital organization at the LEGO Group and we’re thus looking for 2 new colleagues to join this exciting journey and build up our FinOps team and evolve our cloud financial management services.

Do you have what it takes?
To succeed in this role, you most likely have a financial, IT and/or data background. Most importantly, you have solid financial experience working with FinOps practices so you can help evolve our cloud financial management services.
As a passionate FinOps expert, you:
- are highly organized and diligent.
- easily break down large amounts of data, find anomalies and trends.
- love data, using it to identify and drive business outcomes and improvements.
- have experience with cloud providers and FinOps tools, Apptio Cloudability.
- have solid experience with procurement practices.
- know how to communicate and visualize data and numbers in a simple and understandable way across technical, financial and leadership teams.
- get energy from a mix of deep diving into data and numbers and collaborating with various internal and external partners.
- are hard-working and want to have ownerhship of your own projects and tasks while also contributing to team projects.
- are a cool and fun person to be around and you are passionate about what you do!
If you have any change management experience around FinOps processes as well as building up a FinOps community, that knowledge is most welcome but not a prerequisite.
Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are a global company.
In your role you will:
- Identify and facilitate opportunities to optimise, reduce cost and plans to realise the savings.
- Analyse, report, and produce meaningful and practical insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools.
- Provide summaries and detailed usage statistics for AWS and Azure services.
- Making sure we have a fluent and efficient procurement process (i.e. vendor management, create PO’s and collaborate on renewals).
- Collaborate with finance and technical product team on budget, forecast and expenses reports.
- Proactively improve processes and practices.
- Liaise with external vendors in close collaboration with internal colleagues and collaborators.
We use COUPA as a procurement system and AWS / Azure Marketplace will also be central to this role.
