FinOps Manager
Salary & Benefits: £61,911 – £68,790 (depending on experience) base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays & up to 40% discretionary bonus & free shares, also offer flexible working hours, agile working practices and regular home working. You’ll be able to demonstrate that you:
Have excellent analytical skills and the ability to analyse and produce meaningful insights from large datasets
Intermediate to advanced Office365 skills including MS Excel and Power BI to interpret and analyse large and complex data sources
Have a good understanding of budgeting processes and financial practices
Have a keen interest in technology and the cloud and understand the cost levers available to public cloud consumers
Have great written and verbal communication skills – writing content, presentations, one to one and in groups
Are a multi-tasking team player who thrives both independently and in a geographically dispersed team.
Are a self-starter – whether that is coming up with new ideas, developing organisational and technical knowledge, or improving existing processes and solutions
For the more experienced candidates, you’ll stand out if you have these:
Knowledge of Unpicking Cloud Bills (GCP or Azure)
Experience with cost management strategies such as enterprise discount programs and commitment plans (Savings plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances etc)
Experience with 3rd party Cloud cost tooling e.g. Cloudability
A qualification such as FinOps Certified Practitioner; GCP or Azure certification
Identifying and facilitate reducing cloud wastage opportunities in the cloud
Experience working with Financial Services or other large enterprises and highly regulated environments
Experience working on a major public cloud provider platform
