Associate Cloud Analyst | FinOps

As an Associate Cloud Analyst, FinOps you will report to the Manager, Customer Engagement. You will learn the ins and outs of cost savings through optimization of AWS environments, and work with customers that spend under a certain threshold to help with their cost savings initiatives. You will also manage the Cloud Foundation ticket flow and ensure customer requests are triaged appropriately.

This position is 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• • Monitor assigned Cloud Foundation customers’ AWS usage and present opportunities for cost savings and healthy cloud usage through quarterly email updates
  • Create custom reports giving personalized recommendations to customers based on budget, best practices, timeline, and goals
  • Escalate customers with more specific needs to Cloud Analysts
  • Perform initial ticket triage on service board; assign tickets to Analysts and ensure they are scheduled in a timely manner
  • Handle alert tickets, including billing alerts, reservation expirations, new account notifications, and billing inquiries, etc; escalate tickets as needed
  • Configure and manage customer-facing cloud optimization tools
  • Stay educated on the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies

Requirements

• • Ability to work in Sales, Customer Success, Customer Support, or other customer-facing roles
  • Familiarity with AWS Services and how they interact with each other, such as EC2, RDS, and S3
  • Ability to use Excel for basic data management
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and CloudHealth Certification (required within first 90 days of employment with Mission Cloud)
