Cloud FinOps Intern

Job Description

  • Work with cloud users to resolve incidents and fulfill requests based on the agreed SLA
  • Support cloud cost optimization activities such as termination and rightsizing of idle or underutilized resources in AWS and Azure
  • Cloud finance tools access administration and maintenance
  • Support cloud resources tag adherence-related activities such as monitoring and clean-up to ensure accurate cost allocation
  • Support planning and execution of cloud financial management workshop and other initiatives/engagements
  • General cloud operations activities, including reporting, progress tracking, and change coordination
  • Work with our developers to test and maintain in-house automation
  • Software development lifecycle technical writing

 

Qualification & Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate or polytechnic student majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Able to commit to at least six months internship period
  • Programming skills, preferably Python
  • Awareness & interest in cloud computing (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Data visualization skills (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of front-end languages (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable leading and facilitating small-scale meetings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Fast & independent learner
