This role will involve, but is not limited to:
- Review and analyse cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising performance or availability
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on cost optimisation strategies and best practices
- Implement cost reduction measures such as reserved instances, spot instances and scaling policies
- Support labelling and tagging strategies to ensure costs are allocated to appropriate services
- Support the implementation and administration of FinOps tooling such as Cloudability or CloudHealth
Your Essential Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Proficiency with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform cost management tools
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud services and pricing structures
- Proficiency in data analysis, financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) and automation tools
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified FinOps Practitioner
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Desirable:
- Tertiary qualifications in computing
- Previous experience working within a healthcare environment
- Proficiency with cloud cost management tools such as Cloudability, CloudHealth or similar
- AWS Certified Solution Architect or Google Cloud Professional – Cloud Architect
